Title examiners needed to perform full title Oil & Gas examinations in Mahoning Co., OH

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed research on property titles using various sources such as public records, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and legal documents to verify ownership and rights.
• Analyze complex legal descriptions, deeds, leases, and other relevant documents to determine the status of land titles in compliance with real estate law.
• Process title reports efficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness for use in oil and gas leasing, drilling, and development activities.
• Collaborate with law offices, landowners, and industry stakeholders to resolve title discrepancies or issues that may arise during the examination process.
• Utilize GIS tools to visualize property boundaries and assist in identifying potential conflicts or encumbrances affecting land rights.
• Maintain thorough documentation of research findings, title histories, and correspondence for audit purposes and future reference.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with internal teams and external clients regarding title status updates or inquiries.

Experience

• 3-5 Years Ohio O&G Title preferred
• Strong research skills with the ability to interpret legal descriptions, historical records, and technical maps accurately.
• Familiarity with title processing procedures specific to the oil & gas industry or energy sector.
• Knowledge of GIS software applications used for land mapping and property boundary analysis.
• Communication skills (proactive vs. reactive)
