Job Summary

Iqbal Manpower Consultants is seeking experienced and dedicated Oil Spill Responders for a leading Oil & Gas project in Qatar. The selected candidates will be responsible for responding to oil spill incidents, implementing containment and recovery procedures, and supporting environmental protection operations in accordance with international safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to oil spill incidents and assist in containment, control, and cleanup operations.
• Deploy and operate oil spill response equipment such as booms, skimmers, pumps, and dispersant systems.
• Conduct shoreline and offshore cleanup activities as per environmental response plans.
• Assist in setting up containment barriers to prevent the spread of spilled oil.
• Operate and maintain oil spill response vessels, tools, and equipment.
• Follow company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and emergency response protocols.
• Participate in regular emergency drills, safety training, and environmental response exercises.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of spill response activities.
• Work closely with supervisors, environmental teams, and safety officers during response operations.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of contaminated materials and waste.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in oil spill response, environmental cleanup, or Oil & Gas emergency response operations.
• Experience working in Oil & Gas, offshore, marine, or environmental protection projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of oil spill response techniques and equipment is an advantage.
• Ability to work in emergency situations and physically demanding environments.
• Basic understanding of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Candidates must be medically fit and willing to work in rotational shifts.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantage)

• Oil Spill Response Training Certificate
• H2S Safety Training
• Basic Fire Fighting / First Aid
• Offshore Safety Training (if applicable)
