Oilfield PSV/PRV/Thief Hatch Technicain

Position Summary

Onit Energy Solutions is seeking a skilled and safety-focused PSV / PRV / Tank Thief Hatch

Technician. This position is responsible for inspection, testing, repair, and replacement of pressure

safety valves (PSVs), pressure relief valves (PRVs), and tank thief hatches in oil & gas production

facilities. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, understands regulatory compliance

requirements, and is comfortable working in field environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and document PSV and PRV functionality per manufacturer and regulatory

standards.

• Install, repair, and replace tank thief hatches and related vapor control equipment.
• Perform leak testing and verify proper set pressures and sealing.
• Complete compliance documentation and digital reporting accurately.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow all company and client safety procedures
• Travel to multiple field locations throughout the Permian Basin.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in clean working condition.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years oil & gas field experience preferred.
• Experience with PSVs, PRVs, thief hatches, or vapor control systems preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders/tanks as required.
• Ability work from Heights.
• Aerial lift Operator Certification.
• PEC Safeland (Basic Orientation)
• H2S Clear Certification

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
