Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards to support preschool and toddler learning milestones.
- Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision and adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and independence among children.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during care.
- Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and managing supplies for daycare activities.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is essential.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is NOT required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including diapering, feeding, and developmental activities.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and families.
