About Emergi-Kid-Care

Emergi-Kid-Care is an emergency childcare service designed to support working families when their regular childcare falls through. We provide reliable, in-home care on short notice, helping parents maintain their work responsibilities while ensuring their children are safe and cared for.

We are currently building a team of dependable, professional caregivers who are able to step in during urgent situations and provide high-quality care.

Position Overview

This is an on-call, as-needed position. Caregivers will receive childcare opportunities as bookings become available and may accept assignments based on their availability.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work who are dependable, responsive, and comfortable with last-minute requests.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive, and nurturing care for children in their homes
• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
• Follow any instructions provided by parents
• Maintain a clean and safe environment during care
• Communicate professionally with parents and Emergi-Kid-Care
• Respond to last-minute or same-day care requests when available

Qualifications

• Prior childcare experience (babysitting, daycare, CNA, teaching, etc.)
• Ability to remain calm and professional in unexpected situations
• Strong communication and reliability
• Must be comfortable with flexible, on-call scheduling
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a smartphone for communication and scheduling

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must complete a drug screening prior to placement
• Must provide at least two professional or personal references
• Must demonstrate reliability and professionalism

Compensation

• $16-$18 per hour
• Mileage reimbursement provided
