On Call Respiratory Therapist

Locally Owned Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Company – Kansas

We are a locally owned, community-focused DME company seeking a Respiratory Therapist to participate in our on-call rotation supporting patients in their homes and hospice facilities. This position is ideal for an RT looking for flexible hours and additional income while making a meaningful impact in patient care.

This role focuses on after-hours and weekend respiratory support, including PAP setups, equipment troubleshooting, and ventilator setups for hospice patients.

Primary Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours and weekend on-call requests
• Perform PAP device setups and patient education
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment in the field
• Set up and support non-invasive ventilators for patients
• Provide clear patient and caregiver instruction on equipment use
• Document patient interactions and services provided
• Communicate with internal staff regarding patient needs and follow-up

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current CRT or RRT license (Kansas or eligible)
• Experience with PAP therapy and non-invasive ventilators preferred
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Valid Kansas driver’s license with a good driving record
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to respond to on-call service needs in a timely manner

Schedule

• Participate in rotating on-call coverage
• Primarily evenings, nights, and weekends
• Field-based work responding to patient needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
