Job Title: Part-Time / On-Call Retail Security Officer (Luxury Environment)

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and dependable Security Officer for a part-time, on-call role in a luxury retail environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are flexible, reliable, and comfortable working in a high-end setting. A strong security presence, excellent customer service skills, and experience supporting coat check operations are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft and ensure the safety of customers and staff
• Work closely with store management and team members to address security concerns
• Conduct routine patrols throughout the store and designated areas
• Support coat check operations, ensuring secure handling and organization of guests’ belongings
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate daily logs
• Assist with opening and closing security procedures as needed
• Be available to respond to short-notice/on-call shifts when required

Schedule Requirements

• Part-time, on-call schedule based on business needs
• Weekend availability required (Saturday & Sunday)
• Flexibility for evening shifts and last-minute coverage
• Hours may vary week to week

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail security experience (required)
• Prior experience in luxury retail or high-end environments strongly preferred
• Coat check or guest services experience in upscale settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
• Valid NYS Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one)
• Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to monitor multiple areas and respond quickly when necessary
