Language on Demand, Inc. is a government contracting agency located in Annandale, Virginia, that offers a full range of language services including sign language interpretation, language translation, spoken language interpretation, Captioning in Real Time (CART), language education, and more. LOD has provided over 56k hours of ASL interpreting nationally and strives to work with top-tier Nationally Certified ASL interpreters.

Description:

LOD is seeking a qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) federal contract providing Deaf and Hard of Hearing communication access services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.A Degree or higher
• Ability to commute to Fort Belvoir, VA.
• Ability to interpret in various modes of sign language (ASL, PSE, CASE)
• Strong voicing skills while working with diverse clients
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant government or technical interpreting experience
• Possess current certification as recognized by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and/or the National Association for the Deaf (NAD)
