On Site Driver Dispatcher

Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented On Site Driver Dispatcher to coordinate and manage daily transportation operations at our customers warehouse. This dynamic role involves overseeing freight movement, dispatching drivers, and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will thrive in a steady-paced environment, utilizing our customers dispatch system and our app to make sure drivers are dispatched accurately, while making sure our drivers are following all delivery procedures. This is a w-2 hourly position. The ideal candidate will be reliable, be professional, have an approachable friendly demeanor, but be able to correct drivers as needed, and be able to multitask.

Duties

• Dispatch drivers using customers transportation management system ensuring efficient routing and accuracy.
• Monitor drivers throughout the day and respond swiftly to any delays or issues.
• Interact with on site customer and receiving customers regarding returns, etas, etc.
• Communicate effectively with drivers effectively in person and on phone, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear instructions.
• Communicate effectively with other off site dispatchers, dispatch manager, etc regarding any driver issues and/or order questions.
• Respond to on and off site customers regarding order details with accurate information.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to convey instructions clearly.
• Dispatch/Warehouse/Delivery experience preferred.
• Experience with dispatch systems and dispatching processes a plus.
• Must be comfortable with using computers and accessing systems.

This position requires to be drug free and a clean background.
