Are you a reliable, customer-focused professional looking for a long-term management opportunity? We’re seeking an Onsite Manager to oversee operations at our self-storage facility in Sunnyvale, CA. This position includes on-property housing, making it ideal for someone who is ready to relocate and take full ownership of day-to-day facility operations.

About the Role

As the Onsite Manager, you will be responsible for managing all daily operations, providing outstanding customer service, maintaining the facility, and ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment. Since this is a live-on-site position, you will play a key role in after-hours support and facility oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily reports, invoices, and payment receipts
  • Manage billing, account collections, and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Make collection calls and send follow-up emails
  • Handle lien procedures and assist with auctions
  • Complete clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping
  • Respond promptly and professionally to phone and email inquiries
  • Assist customers with rentals, transfers, and retail merchandise sales
  • Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and secure
  • Conduct regular property walks and security checks
  • Coordinate minor repairs and maintenance needs
  • Provide on-site presence for after-hours issues or emergencies

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong customer service and sales abilities
  • Ability to de-escalate challenging customer situations
  • Prior experience in customer service, office administration, or property management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with California Self Storage Lien Law (preferred)
  • Self-storage experience is a plus but not required

Qualifications

  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Clean background (background check required)
  • Verifiable employment history and references
  • Must be willing to relocate and live onsite (housing provided)

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Hours: 36–40 hours per week
  • Benefits: Medical insurance and paid vacation/PTO
  • Housing: Onsite residence included as part of compensation package
