Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator to join our Research and Education team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.


Position Summary:

Provides support and assistance in the conduct of clinical research studies in accordance with federal and institutional guidelines. Coordinates and provides direction to daily operations of clinical studies. Coordinates research studies of minimal to moderate complexity and may deliver patient care to study participants. Provides direction to research support staff as needed.


The Metro Minnesota Community Oncology Research Consortium (MMCORC) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Oncology Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of cancer research and patient care in our community.

MMCORC is a collaborative network of community oncology practices dedicated to conducting cutting-edge cancer research and providing exceptional patient care. We strive to improve the lives of cancer patients through innovative clinical trials, multidisciplinary collaborations, and evidence-based treatment protocols. Our mission is to accelerate the discovery and delivery of effective cancer treatments while ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient safety.


Work Schedule:

M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm


Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • Graduate from an accredited medical assistant or LPN program plus at least 1 year health care experience in a related field or bachelor’s degree in related field or associate degree and at least one year research experience.
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • MOA certification or LPN license required if applicable.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
    • Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • ACRP Clinical Research Coordinator Certification desirable.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Highly organized individual with strong communication skills and problem-solving skills.
    • Medical terminology and basic knowledge of research and data management systems.
