Oncology Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with oncology conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in collaboration with oncologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patient progress, manage side effects, and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  • Certification as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner (ONP).
  • Experience in oncology care or a related field, preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
  • Experience in outpatient and inpatient oncology settings.
  • Knowledge of current oncology treatment protocols and procedures.
