JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Oncology Research Pharmacy Technician to join our growing clinical research pharmacy team. This role supports investigational drug preparation, sterile compounding, inventory management, and protocol compliance in an oncology research setting.
The ideal candidate has strong sterile compounding experience, excellent time management, and a high level of professional accountability. This position requires independent work, critical thinking, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare sterile IV admixtures, including hazardous oncology agents, per protocol and USP standards
· Support investigational product (IP) receipt, storage, preparation, documentation, and return
· Maintain accurate compounding records, dose calculation sheets, and study documentation
· Perform quality control checks and assist with deviation documentation as needed
· Manage drug inventory, temperature logs, and expiration tracking
· Follow protocol-specific workflows for study medications
· Ensure compliance with USP <797>, USP <800>, and institutional policies
· Collaborate with providers, nurses, and research coordinators to support patient care
· Maintain cleanroom and BSC cleaning procedures
· Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment
REQIUREDQUALIFICATIONS
· Active Pharmacy Technician registration (state-appropriate)
· Minimum 2–3 years sterile compounding experience (oncology preferred)
· Experience handling hazardous medications
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills
· Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment
PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS
· Oncology or clinical research pharmacy experience
· IV certification (CSPT or equivalent a plus)
· Experience with investigational drug protocols
· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
