Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated One Year Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our young learners during a pivotal stage of their early childhood development. In this role, you will lead a classroom of energetic toddlers, creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and social-emotional skills. Your leadership will ensure that each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism, fostering a love for learning from the very start. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while guiding a team of assistant teachers and caregivers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, focusing on toddler development milestones.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote cognitive, motor, language, and social skills through play-based learning.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment by adhering to all safety protocols, including first aid procedures and sanitation practices.
  • Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting developmental milestones and communicating updates to parents and team members.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques to foster respectful interactions and emotional regulation.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregiver staff, providing guidance on classroom management and instructional strategies.
  • Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or additional caregiving support.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a childcare settings, specifically with toddlers or infants.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and behavior management techniques.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management skills coupled with the ability to foster a nurturing, inclusive environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members while maintaining professionalism.
  • Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not required; a genuine passion for working with children is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt activities for children with diverse needs and backgrounds. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
