Position: Online AP Computer Science Teacher
Location: Remote (Online via Zoom)
Hours: Minimum Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Additional hours available (we offer tutoring 7 days a week, 9 AM – 9 PM).

• Math: Elementary through Advanced High School (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Integrated Math I–III, Business & Consumer Math)
• Science: Chemistry, Physics, Biology
• Test Prep: ASVAB, CBEST, SAT, ACT, CSET, GED, MCAT
• Other Subjects: Reading, Spanish, and more

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable AP Computer Science Teacher to join our team. As an instructor, you will provide virtual tutoring and test preparation for high school students enrolled in AP Computer Science A and/or AP Computer Science Principles.

You will help students master key coding concepts, problem-solving strategies, and exam techniques to succeed on the AP exam and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group online tutoring in AP Computer Science (Java programming and AP exam curriculum).
• Assess student knowledge and create personalized lesson plans.
• Teach coding concepts clearly and effectively (e.g., algorithms, classes, objects, recursion, data structures).
• Guide students through AP-style practice problems and exam preparation.
• Adapt instruction to support diverse learning styles.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Use engaging teaching methods to build both skill and confidence.

Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Education, or related field preferred).
• Strong programming background (Java required; Python or other languages a plus).
• Previous experience teaching or tutoring AP Computer Science A and/or Principles.
• Excellent communication and online teaching skills.
• Comfortable using Zoom and digital whiteboard/coding platforms.
• Patient, supportive, and passionate about student success.
• Bonus: experience with curriculum design, exam prep, or bilingual skills.
