Job Summary:
The Pricing & Promotions Specialist will manage and optimize pricing, discounts, and promotional strategies for Korean food products across online delivery platforms (e.g., Talabat, Deliveroo, Noon Food, Careem). The role focuses on driving sales growth, improving margins, and increasing brand visibility while ensuring competitiveness within the Korean food and Asian grocery segment.
Key Responsibilities:Pricing Strategy
- Develop competitive pricing strategies for Korean food items such as ramen, kimchi, frozen products, snacks, and ready meals
- Monitor competitor pricing within Korean and Asian grocery categories
- Adjust pricing based on demand, product shelf life, and supplier costs
- Maintain margin targets while remaining competitive in the market
Promotions & Campaign Management
- Plan and execute promotions (bundle deals, discounts, “Buy 1 Get 1”, seasonal campaigns)
- Create themed campaigns (e.g., Korean BBQ at Home, K-snack bundles, ramen deals)
- Collaborate with delivery platforms for featured placements and sponsored promotions
- Track campaign performance and optimize for ROI
Product & Menu Management
- Manage product listings across delivery apps (descriptions, images, pricing)
- Ensure accurate categorization (e.g., noodles, sauces, frozen foods, snacks)
- Highlight popular Korean items and trending products
- Coordinate with operations to ensure stock availability
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze sales trends by product category (e.g., ramen vs frozen dumplings vs snacks)
- Monitor customer behavior, basket size, and repeat purchases
- Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports
- Identify slow-moving items and create promotions to improve turnover
Market & Trend Awareness
- Stay updated on Korean food trends (e.g., viral TikTok ramen, Korean street food items)
- Identify new product opportunities based on demand
- Benchmark against competitors offering Korean or Asian food products
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work with procurement for pricing and supplier deals
- Coordinate with marketing for campaigns and creatives
- Align with warehouse/operations for stock planning and promotions execution
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Revenue growth across delivery platforms
- Gross margin and profitability
- Promotion performance (ROI)
- Average order value (AOV)
- Product sell-through rate
- Platform visibility and ranking
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in e-commerce, grocery, or food delivery platforms
- Experience with Talabat, Deliveroo, Noon Food, or similar apps preferred
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Knowledge or strong interest in Korean food products is a plus
