Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for learners of all ages.
  • Incorporate specialized instructional strategies for students with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education accommodations or preschool experience.
  • Plan and execute lesson plans that integrate language skills such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking, with an emphasis on literacy education.
  • Use innovative classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and foster respectful interactions among students.
  • Support students’ social-emotional development through tutoring sessions and personalized guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new teaching materials and improve existing curricula based on student feedback and educational trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress in compliance with organizational standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience in teaching German as a Second Language to diverse age groups, including children, preschoolers, and adults.
  • Strong background in curriculum development tailored to different learner levels and needs.
  • Proficiency with learning technology platforms that facilitate interactive language instruction.
  • Excellent classroom management skills combined with the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
  • Demonstrated success in tutoring students individually or in small groups to improve language skills effectively.
  • Knowledge of adult education principles and strategies for fostering motivation among adult learners.
  • Experience working with children or preschool-aged students, including childcare or early childhood education settings.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and accommodations for learners with unique needs.
  • Skilled in lesson planning that aligns with educational standards while encouraging creativity and critical thinking.

Job Type: Contract
