Online ELA Tutor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Online ELA Tutor to support students in developing their English Language Arts skills through virtual sessions. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic progress. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in tutoring or teaching, and a passion for working with children. Prior experience with special education needs is a plus.

Duties

• Deliver engaging and personalised English Language Arts lessons via online platforms
• Assess students’ individual learning needs and tailor lesson plans accordingly
• Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to motivate students
• Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student development and areas for growth
• Utilise educational resources and digital tools effectively during sessions
• Maintain organised records of lesson plans, attendance, and student achievements

Requirements

• Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with children in an educational setting
• Strong communication skills to clearly explain concepts and engage students remotely
• Experience with special education or differentiated instruction is desirable
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and needs
• Reliable internet connection and access to a computer or tablet suitable for online teaching
• Passionate about education and committed to supporting student success

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
