Job Summary:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join our team. As an online teacher, you will create and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in a virtual classroom. This role involves developing course materials, hosting live weekly classes, and maintaining regular communication with students, parents, and staff to ensure each student’s success.

This is a part-time classroom position. For those wanting more hours, Branches Learning offers a popular tutoring program, providing teachers the opportunity to participate and design a schedule that works for them.

*Spanish 1 & 2 are tentatively scheduled from 1:00-2:00 Pacific Time, Monday through Thursday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive, sequential courses that align with grade-level standards and incorporate projects.
• Develop and implement lessons that connect academic content to students’ everyday experiences, highlighting how skills and concepts can be applied to real-world situations and problem-solving.
• Develop and implement inquiry-based activities that teach students to think critically.
• Host three live weekly classes per course and assign relevant outside work.
• Create and submit pacing guides for approval before each semester begins.
• Implement a diverse range of instructional strategies to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and grades, and communicate with students and parents.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
• Create a safe and inclusive virtual learning environment.
• Use advanced technology tools to facilitate learning and showcase students’ academic projects.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching practices.
• Communicate effectively with the leadership team regarding student progress and any challenges.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• Degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (preferred)
• Teaching Credential (required, in progress, or willingness to obtain)
• Advanced Spanish proficiency, including: speaking and listening, reading and writing, grammar and cultural knowledge
• Online teaching experience (preferred)
• Strong ability to build relationships and support individual learning needs
• Proficiency using online platforms, with access to a modern computer and a reliable internet connection
