Online Math Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves teaching various mathematical concepts, developing curriculum, and engaging students through innovative instructional methods. The Mathematics Teacher will play a crucial role in enhancing students' understanding of math and preparing them for standardized testing and higher education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Teach subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Discrete Math.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
• Provide tutoring and mentoring support to students as needed.
• Assess student performance through standardized testing and other evaluation methods.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Skills

• Proficient in various mathematical disciplines including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Discrete Math.
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with learning technologies that support math instruction.
• Background in higher education teaching or private school experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
• Experience working with students in tutoring or mentoring capacities.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour

Preference will be given to candidates who are available on both Saturday and Sunday.

• Math Teaching: 2 years (Required)
• Online Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)
