Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves teaching various mathematical concepts, developing curriculum, and engaging students through innovative instructional methods. The Mathematics Teacher will play a crucial role in enhancing students' understanding of math and preparing them for standardized testing and higher education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Discrete Math.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
- Provide tutoring and mentoring support to students as needed.
- Assess student performance through standardized testing and other evaluation methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Skills
- Proficient in various mathematical disciplines including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, and Discrete Math.
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with learning technologies that support math instruction.
- Background in higher education teaching or private school experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Experience working with students in tutoring or mentoring capacities.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
