Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our educational institution. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching mathematics and inspiring students to excel in the subject.
Curriculum & Content Expertise:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Maths curriculum for KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and KS5 (A-Level/IB Maths, Further Maths, if applicable to your offerings).
- Cover a wide range of Maths topics, including:
- KS1/KS2: Number and place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry (shapes and space), statistics (data handling).
- KS3: Number (including prime numbers, HCF, LCM, standard form), algebra (expressions, equations, inequalities, sequences), ratio, proportion and rates of change, geometry and measures (angles, area, volume, Pythagoras), probability, statistics (charts, averages).
- KS4 (GCSE): Preparation for GCSE Maths exams (Foundation and Higher tiers), including advanced algebra, quadratic equations, simultaneous equations, functions, graphs, trigonometry, vectors, transformations, advanced statistics and probability.
- KS5 (A-Level/Equivalent): In-depth coverage of Pure Maths (algebra, calculus, trigonometry, logarithms, exponentials, functions), Mechanics (forces, motion, moments), Statistics (probability distributions, hypothesis testing, sampling), and optionally Decision Maths.
Assessment & Feedback:
- Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, including mock exams and topic tests.
- Provide constructive, timely, and personalized feedback to students and parents/guardians on academic performance, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Track student attendance and progress accurately.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education with a Maths specialization, or a related quantitative field. (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years preferred) teaching Maths to students across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5, ideally in an online setting.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, B.Ed.) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum for Mathematics in England (or relevant international curriculum if catering to diverse international students).
- Familiarity with exam board specifications (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel for GCSE/A-Level/IB) is a significant advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- A reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet dedicated workspace, and appropriate online teaching equipment (headset with microphone, webcam, potentially a drawing tablet).
- Enhanced DBS check (or equivalent background check) is required upon successful application.
Salary - 2 Pound per hour on the deliverance of class(es)
Days: Monday to Saturday
Timings: 5pm to 2am (1 hour break from 8pm to 9pm)
