Responsibilities

• Conduct online tutoring sessions focused on SAT English skills, including reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and essay writing.
• Develop customized lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with test prep curricula and individual student needs.
• Guide students through test-taking strategies and time management techniques to maximize their performance on the SAT.
• Utilize educational technology tools and online platforms effectively to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.
• Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, practice tests, and feedback sessions; adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Support students in building confidence and developing critical thinking skills necessary for success in high-stakes testing environments.
• Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and areas for improvement to ensure continuous growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience in SAT preparation tutoring, especially in the English section; familiarity with ACT preparation is a plus.
• Strong background in teaching high school students or teenagers; experience working with diverse learners including those with special education needs is desirable.
• Excellent command of English language arts, including writing skills, grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
• Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and educational technology integration to enhance virtual instruction.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content, lesson plans, and test-taking strategies tailored to individual student goals.
• Previous classroom or in-person tutoring experience is advantageous; ability to adapt teaching methods for online delivery is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students remotely.
• Knowledge of test-taking skills tutoring, classroom management techniques for virtual settings, and experience working with high schoolers or teenagers.
