SAT Tutor (Remote)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate tutor to join our team and provide specialized instruction in SAT preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAT test-taking strategies, mathematics, and critical reading & writing skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with high school students preparing for the SAT exam.
• Develop personalized lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
• Teach core SAT subjects – Reading, Writing & Language, and Math – while emphasizing test-taking strategies and time management.
• Provide structured instruction on problem-solving techniques, essay writing, and analytical reasoning skills.
• Offer constructive feedback on students' practice problems, essays, and mock exams to help them improve their scores.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel motivated to engage with challenging test materials and build confidence.
• Stay updated on College Board SAT exam changes, format updates, and scoring criteria.

Qualifications:

• Experience – at least 1 year of SAT tutoring experience, either in-person or remotely. Strong familiarity with the SAT exam format, content, and test-taking strategies.
• Education – Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or teaching certifications are a plus.
• Technical Skills – Proficiency in using online tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) and digital educational tools.
• Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Availability – Flexible availability to accommodate students in different time zones. Weekend and evening hours may be required.
• Passion for Education – A genuine interest in helping students succeed, with a patient and encouraging teaching approach.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
