Remote Immigration Paralegal / USCIS Petitions Assistant — Law Offices of Arash Zarrinbakhsh. Seeking an experienced, detail-oriented remote paralegal to prepare and file USCIS petitions (I-130, I-485, N-400, I-751, I-765, I-131, etc.), assemble filing packages, maintain case management, and assist with recruiting/postings on Indeed. $10 to $25 per hour

Summary:

Law Offices of Arash Zarrinbakhsh seeks a detail-oriented remote paralegal/assistant to prepare and file USCIS immigration petitions and applications, manage case paperwork, and support a small immigration law office. The assistant will complete forms, assemble filing packages, prepare supporting documentation, track deadlines, and post job listings (Indeed).

Key responsibilities:

- Prepare and complete USCIS forms (I-130, I-485, N-400, I-751, I-765, I-131, I-601/612, I-129, and related forms) from templates and attorney guidance.

- Collect, organize, review, and redact client documents (IDs, birth/marriage certificates, evidence of residence, immigration records).

- Draft cover letters, checklists, and filing packets; ensure accuracy and compliance with USCIS instructions.

- Calculate fees, prepare filing checklists, and prepare forms for e-filing or postal submission.

- Maintain case management system and update case notes, deadlines, and calendar alerts.

- Communicate with clients by email/phone to request documents and provide status updates under attorney supervision.

- Research USCIS form instructions and current filing requirements to ensure package compliance.

- Post job listings and assist with recruiting tasks on Indeed and other job boards (create descriptions, screen applicants).

- Coordinate with vendors for translations, certified copies, and document procurement.

- Assist in intake, conflict checks, billing codes, and basic administrative tasks.

Required qualifications:

- 2+ years paralegal experience in U.S. immigration law or demonstrated experience preparing USCIS forms.

- Strong knowledge of USCIS forms and filing procedures; exceptional attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal English communication; Spanish or other language fluency a plus.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF software, and case management platforms (e.g., Clio, Docketwise, or similar).

- Reliable internet, secure home workspace, and ability to handle confidential information.

- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and follow attorney direction.

- Authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

- Paralegal certificate or degree in legal studies.

- Experience with e-filing and fee waiver filings.

- Familiarity with immigration law terminology and USCIS policy updates.

Compensation & hours:

- Competitive, commensurate with experience; part-time or full-time; remote with occasional in-person meetings if local.

- This position performs non‑legal tasks under attorney supervision. Candidate must not provide legal advice, sign pleadings as an attorney, or engage in the unauthorized practice of law.
