Onsite Certified Medical Assistant

Our Onsite Certified Medical Assistants are the heartbeat of our field operations, partnering directly with long-term care facilities to support patient care, help build relationships, and create a positive experience for residents and staff.

To be considered for this role, candidates must live within 10 miles of Florence, SC. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and an active CMA(AAMA), CCMA, or RMA certification are required.

This position requires availability Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm EST based on facility scheduling needs. If you love the idea of mixing patient interaction, clinical support, travel, and teamwork, then this role is for you!

What does this role look like?

This is a hands-on, people-focused, mission-driven role where you:

  • Support residents and facility teams in real time

Responsibilities

Patient & Facility Support

  • Work directly inside long-term care and senior care facilities across assigned territories.
  • Perform full vitals assessments on assigned patients using MedStreamline’s FDA-approved medical devices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Support patient care needs within MedStreamline and facility guidelines.
  • Build trust and meaningful relationships with residents, nurses, and facility leadership.
  • Ensure residents feel supported, comfortable, and cared for.
  • Serve as a consistent, calm, professional presence.

Hands-On Support in the Facility

  • Troubleshoot MedStreamline’s devices inside the assigned facilities.
  • Perform basic equipment inspections each visit (light maintenance)
  • Ensure all devices are functioning during each visit
  • Provide basic training on MedStreamline’s devices to facility staff when the Account Manager is unavailable.
  • Ensure documentation is completed accurately, timely, and correctly according to MedStreamline’s guidelines and policies.
  • Identify concerns or clinical red flags and escalate to leadership appropriately.

Be the Bridge Between Teams

  • Serve as an onsite representative and resource for MedStreamline.
  • Provide real-time insight from the field to MedStreamline leadership.
  • Serve as an on-the-ground liaison between MedStreamline’s internal team and facilities staff.
  • Work closely with the assigned Account Manager to report device issues, escalate concerns, and ensure quality follow-up
  • Help streamline workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Represent MedStreamline with professionalism and accountability.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed

Candidate Profile

Required

  • Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential through AAMA, AMT, or NHA
  • Experience in patient care, long-term care, senior care, or clinical support
  • Outstanding communication, compassion, and professionalism
  • Strong documentation accuracy and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using technology and medical devices
  • Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory
  • Reliable personal transportation, a valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance

Preferred

  • Familiarity with EMR systems, telehealth platforms, and long-term care environments
  • Experience working in long-term care facilities (i.e. skilled nursing, assisted living facilities)
  • Travel medical assistant experience is a plus

Travel Requirements: Daily travel to multiple long-term care and skilled nursing facilities within the assigned territory.
