- atient Reception & Registration:
- Welcome and greet patients as they arrive at the outpatient department.
- Assist in completing registration processes and documentation.
- Verify patient information and medical records.
- Patient Assistance:
- Guide patients to the appropriate waiting areas, consultation rooms, or diagnostic areas.
- Assist elderly or physically challenged patients in moving around the hospital.
- Provide information regarding doctor schedules, waiting times, and OP services.
- Coordination with Medical Staff:
- Assist doctors and nurses with patient management, including preparing patients for consultations.
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments for diagnostic tests and lab investigations.
- Assist in maintaining proper patient flow and avoid overcrowding.
- Medical Records Management:
- Maintain and update patient records and files accurately.
- Ensure that patient case sheets, lab reports, and other documents are ready for consultation.
- Appointment Scheduling:
- Schedule and manage patient appointments and follow-up visits.
- Confirm appointments and provide reminders via phone calls if required.
- Equipment and Supplies Management:
- Ensure that consultation rooms are well-stocked with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment used in the outpatient department.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, and patients to ensure that all queries are addressed.
- Provide necessary information regarding hospital services, insurance policies, and patient care processes.
- General Administrative Duties:
- Handle billing inquiries, cash transactions, or insurance processing if applicable.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the outpatient department.
