Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, utilizing your barista experience and knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.
  • Greet guests warmly as a host, managing reservations and seating arrangements to ensure smooth flow and guest satisfaction.
  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering menu recommendations, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, food safety protocols, and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with food preparation and serving, supporting the team during busy periods to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Manage time effectively to balance multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience with knowledge of coffee brewing methods and beverage presentation.
  • Experience working in food service or café environments with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and cash handling.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices. Nice-to-have skills include serving experience, retail math proficiency, familiarity with food industry operations, and previous cashiering roles. Candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm for the food industry, strong customer service orientation, and a proactive attitude will thrive in this role.
