Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Senior Purchase Executive to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor development, and ensuring timely availability of materials and components. This role requires strong technical knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement Management
• Source, evaluate, and procure raw materials, components, and consumables required for manufacturing operations.
• Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
• Vendor Development & Management
• Identify, qualify, and develop reliable suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to optimize procurement costs.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Technical Evaluation
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand technical specifications.
• Evaluate supplier quotations against technical requirements and quality standards.
• Conduct comparative analysis to support decision-making.
• Inventory & Cost Control
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
• Track purchase budgets and report variances.
• Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and audit compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing unit.
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial materials, machinery components, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and procurement software.
