Opening or Closing Transit Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Opening or Closing Transit Dispatcher to coordinate and manage daily paratransit transportation operations in the Quad Cities. In this vital role, you will oversee the dispatching of vehicles and assist drivers with route changes and other demands. Your energetic approach will help maintain seamless communication between drivers and the dispatch team contributing to the overall success of our paratransit network.

Duties include:

• Scheduling rides for clients using computer software.
• Answering phone calls.
• Communicating with drivers over the radio.
• Completing daily paperwork.
• Assisting the manager as needed.
• Work shifts are typically between 5:00 am and 7:00 pm.
• Required to working a Saturday and/or Sunday on rotation.

Skills include:

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Basic Excel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience required.
• Multi-tasking abilities.
• Basic knowledge of the Illinois Quad Cities.

Requirements include:

• Must pass a background and sex offender check.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 – 32 per week
