Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday
- 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with clinical standards.
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation
- Develop and communicate individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide patient education and support throughout the surgical experience
- Function as a charge nurse when needed and support team coordination
- Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems effectively
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff, including orientation and training
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care evaluations
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including infection control and blood/body fluid policies
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
- Coordinate daily Operating Room activities in collaboration with leadership and anesthesia teams
- Assist in supervision of staff to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Support staff development, education, and departmental needs
- Manage supplies, equipment, and inventory for optimal OR operations
- Oversee medication storage and inventory systems (e.g., Pyxis)
- Participate in on-call rotation for off-shift, weekends, and holidays
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Massachusetts
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to wear lead apron as required
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
