About the job: Operation Geologist
Wellsite operation planning and management.
- Prepare efficient drilling and data acquisition plans ensuring technical requirements together with geophysicists, reservoir engineers and drilling engineers.
- Prepare tenders for geological services, conduct technical and economic evaluations and select contractors.
- QC the acquired data and the processed data together with TED members.
- Generate and distribute geological related reports during drilling operation.
- Supervise and manage wellsite geologists and subcontractors for wellsite activities.
- Plan and provide feedback of current well plan trajectory, and act as a geosteer personnel if needed.
- Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, reservoir engineers and drilling engineers to determine the way forward of the drilling operation.
- Following up wellsite activities 24/7 from the office and the wellsite, as required.
- Geological data interpretation for the wellsite activities.
- Review and conduct the interpretation of geological data along with drilling data and core samples, to plan and manage the Post Well Analysis works.
- Manage the geological service reports including well final reports from subcontractors.
- Draw up and review technical reports and proposals.
- Load and QC the related datasets for the geological works.
- Manage the related datasets for the geological works and update/maintain the internal database.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree: Bachelors in Geology, Earth Sciences or related fields.
Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in geology-related work within the oil and gas industry including adequate wellsite work experience.
