Operation Manager


Context & Environment




Operates within a dynamic oil & gas manufacturing and services environment involving mud systems, tanks, process equipment, steel fabrication, and field installation activities .

The role covers  workshop fabrication, assembly operations, and site execution , with direct responsibility for delivering complex oilfield equipment to client specifications.

Works in a  safety-critical environment  requiring strict compliance with QHSE standards, process safety, and international certifications (including DNV requirements).

Daily interaction with  engineering, production, quality, procurement, inspection teams, and clients .

The role may require extended hours, site visits, and operational support during critical project phases.


Key Activities



• Plan, coordinate, and control daily operations across fabrication, assembly, and project execution

• Oversee manufacturing of mud systems, tanks, pipe baskets, and DNV-certified lifting equipment

• Ensure full compliance with DNV standards for offshore containers, baskets, and lifting frames

• Supervise and validate CAT III & CAT IV inspections , ensuring equipment certification and readiness

• Execute project plans in line with approved schedules, specifications, and quality standards

• Monitor workshop capacity, production progress, and manpower allocation

• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and HSE teams

• Troubleshoot fabrication issues, inspection findings, and site-related challenges

• Track project performance (schedule, cost, productivity, and quality KPIs)

• Develop and review operational reports (progress, delays, cost variance)

• Ensure compliance with  QHSE policies, ISO standards, and client requirements (Aramco, drilling companies, etc.)

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (efficiency, cost control, waste reduction)

• Support installation, commissioning, and final client handover


Candidate Profile


• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

• 8–12+ years of experience in oil & gas manufacturing, fabrication, or EPC environments

• Proven hands-on experience in mud systems manufacturing and oilfield equipment fabrication

• Strong experience in manufacturing DNV-certified baskets (pipe baskets, cargo baskets, lifting frames) across different sizes and specifications

• Solid knowledge of DNV standards (e.g., offshore containers / DNV 2.7-1)

• Proven experience with CAT III & CAT IV inspection requirements and certification processes

• Strong understanding of fabrication, welding, assembly, and workshop operations

• Experience managing both shopfloor operations and field execution

• Solid knowledge of project scheduling, cost control, and resource planning

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
