Operational Specialist

Overview:


The Clinic Operational Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the clinic's day-to-day activities run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with Saudi Arabian healthcare regulations (e.g., CBAHI, NHIC, MOH guidelines). This individual supports the operational leadership by optimizing workflows, maintaining regulatory standards, and coordinating across departments to enhance patient experience and operational outcomes.


Key Responsibilities-


Process Optimization:

  • Developing and implementing new procedures to increase the efficiency of daily operations.
  • Evaluate and refine internal workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support the implementation of digital health tools and clinic management software (e.g., HIS, EMR).


Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Tracking day-to-day operations, reporting on performance, and recommending actionable improvements.
  • Track operational KPIs as identified.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports for senior management.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements.


Staff & Vendor Coordination:

  • Support coordination between front desk, nursing, medical, diagnostic, and back-office teams.
  • Supports the medical complex’s support services as required, such as supply chain management, contract adherence and timely delivery of services from suppliers, etc.


Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Support CBAHI readiness, periodic audits, and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain incident logs, audit checklists, and feedback reports.


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure operational policies and procedures are aligned with Saudi MOH, NHIC, SCFHS, and CBAHI standards.
  • Stay up to date with national health regulations and policy changes.
  • Maintain documentation required for inspections and licensing.


Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related field.

Preferred: Certification in healthcare quality, Lean Six Sigma, or project management.


Experience:

3–5 years of progressive experience in a clinic or healthcare operations in Saudi Arabia. Previous exposure to CBAHI accreditation, health insurance workflows, and clinic commissioning is highly desirable.
