Key Responsibilities:1. Electrical Operation:
- Monitor and control electrical systems and equipment (transformers, generators, switchgear, control panels, etc.) for efficient performance.
- Ensure continuous power supply with proper load management and minimal interruptions.
- Respond to faults or breakdowns and restore systems promptly.
- Operate and supervise HT/LT electrical distribution systems.
2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical assets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults and issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain and calibrate electrical instruments and protection systems.
- Keep records of maintenance activities and asset histories.
3. Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards (IEC, IEEE, IS standards).
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements related to electrical systems.
- Support implementation of safety practices such as Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO), grounding, and insulation testing.
4. Technical Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and test certificates.
- Maintain up-to-date as-built electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Coordinate with external service providers for inspections and audits.
5. Coordination & Support:
- Coordinate with other engineering teams (mechanical, instrumentation, automation).
- Liaise with vendors and OEMs for spare parts, AMC, and technical support.
- Support installation and commissioning of new electrical systems or upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in electrical operation and maintenance (experience range can be adjusted depending on role level).
- License or certification for handling HT/LT systems (where applicable) is preferred.
