*Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM - Compensation:$700/week base

*On-site Wed–Fri at daycare facility + field coverage on weekends upon request

**Additional per-walk compensation when performing backup dog walks on WEEKENDS (paid at the standard walker rate per current pricing structure)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and dog-loving Operations Assistant to join our team. This is a key operational role that serves as the direct support to our Operations Manager and acts as a trained backup to ensure seamless business continuity.

The Operations Assistant handles a mix of administrative duties, client communications, team scheduling, daycare on-site support, and backup dog walking on weekends (upon request and paid as additional services) This role is designed as a cross-training position . the right candidate will learn all aspects of the Operations Manager's responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and approve pet care service requests, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling

- Serve as the primary communication, alongside our Operations Manager, between dog walkers and clients via pet care apps

- Welcome and onboard new clients by scheduling meet and greets, sharing tutorial materials and guiding them through the process

- Finalize and distribute the weekly team schedule every Sunday with operations Manager.

- Create and optimize walking routes to maximize efficiency while maintaining service quality

- Monitor walking distances and schedule adherence, addressing discrepancies promptly

- Provide on-site daycare support Monday–Friday, assisting with supervision and client drop-off/pick-up coordination

- Serve as a backup dog walker on weekends when a walker is unavailable or a coverage emergency arises

- Assist the Operations Manager with all day-to-day operational tasks

- Shadow and cross-train in the Operations Manager's full range of responsibilities

- Manage communications (scheduling tasks, walker messages, client inquiries) within 30 minutes during business hours

Qualifications

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Keen eye for detail and accuracy

- Previous customer service experience required

- Scheduling management skills

- Genuine passion for canine care and client satisfaction

- Physically capable of walking up to 3 dogs in various weather conditions

- Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and creative-thinking abilities

- Reliable and able to manage both personal and team schedules

- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Calendar, Sheets, Drive) and pet care scheduling platforms (e.g., Time to Pet)

Schedule & Availability

- Monday– Friday: Available to handle scheduling and communications from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.working on site.

- Saturday &/or Sunday: Available to come in for backup dog walking as needed

- Weekends: Monitor communications remotely and respond promptly to operational issues upon request by ops manager.
