Operations Coordinator

About Us

Tower Accounting serves faith-based nonprofits with clarity, integrity, and care. We exist to take financial overwhelm off their plates—replacing it with reliable, strategic support—so they can focus on their mission with peace of mind. We're a fully remote team serving 40+ nonprofit clients with full-service bookkeeping, 990 preparation, and CFO advisory services.

Our Values: Kindness (we treat each other with patience and grace), Clarity (we communicate in plain language, not jargon), Accountability (we do what we say and own our mistakes), Collaboration (we win as a team), and Service (we're here to serve, not sell).

The Role

We're hiring an Operations Coordinator to lead operational workflows that enable our team to serve clients excellently. You'll be the glue that holds operations together—coordinating across our distributed team, rallying people to meet deadlines, and making judgment calls about priorities. You coordinate projects, track deadlines, follow up across the team, and work with external partners like Executive Directors at client organizations. Our Client Services Coordinator handles specific operational tasks (inbox, payroll, deposits)—you coordinate the bigger picture.

This is a part-time role: 10-15 hours/week, fully remote, flexible schedule with some EST business hours overlap.

Immediate priority: Outstanding 2025 state filings need completion urgently.

Who You Are

  • Coordinator/Rallier: You keep things moving—"Is this done yet?" doesn't feel pushy, it feels necessary. Following up energizes you.
  • Good judgment: You can tell what's truly urgent vs. what can wait, protecting the CEO from noise so she can focus strategically.
  • Status tracker: You're energized by collecting updates, checking in, and keeping momentum going across distributed teams.
  • Comfortable with follow-up: You don't mind being the person who asks again (nicely but firmly) when something is overdue.
  • Team supporter: You're energized by helping the team succeed, not being the star. Coordination work is essential glue that holds operations together.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in operations, project coordination, or admin support. Nonprofit experience helpful but not required.
  • Tech-savvy: Comfortable with Google Workspace, project management tools, quick learner on new systems. Self-directed and reliable.

What We Offer

  • Pay: $20-30/hour depending on experience
  • Hours: 10-15 hours/week to start, potential to grow to 20+ hours as Tower scales
  • Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere in the US with some EST overlap for coordination
  • Mission-driven culture: Faith-based team supporting nonprofits changing the world
  • Direct impact: Small team where your work matters immediately and your voice is heard
  • Growth potential: Expand hours and responsibilities as we grow toward serving 50+ clients
