Position: Sales Operations Manager – Zonal

Reports to: Regional Sales Head / National Sales Operations Manager

Location: Kochi

Role Summary:

The Sales Operations Manager (Zonal) is responsible for driving sales efficiency, operational excellence, and business growth across the designated zone. The role includes overseeing sales operations processes, ensuring smooth execution of sales strategies, monitoring performance, and providing actionable insights to the zonal leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Planning & Strategy

  • Support zonal sales leadership in developing and executing sales plans.
  • Align zonal targets with regional/national business goals.
  • Drive demand planning, sales forecasting, and target allocation.

2. Sales Operations & Execution

  • Ensure effective implementation of sales processes, systems, and policies.
  • Oversee distributor/channel partner operations (if applicable).
  • Manage pricing approvals, discount structures, and incentive processes.
  • Optimize route-to-market strategies within the zone.

3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track sales performance against KPIs, targets, and budgets.
  • Generate zonal MIS reports and dashboards for leadership.
  • Conduct variance analysis and highlight risks/opportunities.

4. Process Excellence & Compliance

  • Standardize and streamline sales operations across territories.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and statutory norms.
  • Drive CRM/ERP adoption and ensure data accuracy.

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with finance, supply chain, and marketing to support sales effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with HR on training, capability building, and incentive programs.
  • Collaborate with trade marketing teams to execute promotions and activations.

6. People Management & Development

  • Lead and mentor the zonal sales operations team.
  • Support capability building of front-line sales staff.
  • Ensure alignment of sales teams with operational priorities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in sales tools (CRM, ERP, MS Excel, Power BI/Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive process excellence and change management.
  • Strong business acumen with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned zone.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree ,Diploma in Electric and electronics field is preferred.
  • 4–12 years of experience in sales operations, sales planning, or channel management.
  • Prior zonal/regional experience strongly preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
