Key Responsibilities Commissioning and Acceptance
- Leading all aspects of safety for all electrical tests.
- Overseeing complete commissioning and performance acceptance testing of the electrical infrastructure systems.
- QA/QC of all electrical & mechanical test procedures, installation and startup.
- Providing input and insight into the overall commissioning plan.
- Compiling reports for the electrical commissioning engineers and issue a daily report to the Commissioning Project Manager.
- Attending and being an active participant in customer equipment factory witness test.
- Assisting with vendor coordination and management.
- Performing equipment inspection to ensure build adherence to vendor submittal.
- Development of electrical equipment and system test procedures.
- Providing test and documentation that equipment is delivered, installed, and tested correctly and set to function properly for customer.
- Supporting and performing design specification review, manufacturer submittals, one line drawing sets, and project schedule documentation.
- Executing test scripts to confirm equipment and system operation to design specifications.
- Ensuring safe work practices are followed by all on the commissioning team and customer site.
- Providing daily reports for electrical commissioning team status.
Operation and Maintenance
- Monitoring the data center facilities infrastructure platform.
- Serving as a Point of Contact for operational team. Assisting with the development of communication and escalation protocols designed to improve the team's performance.
- Contributing to outage postmortem analysis.
- Assisting with coordination and communication during emergency recovery efforts.
- Assisting with the development of tools that will enhance the team's performance.
- Managing all phases of the primary and backup electrical systems to include monitoring and scheduled, preventative and emergency/reactive maintenance activities.
- Communicating with local contractors and vendors during different maintenance activities
- Identifying problems and developing corrective actions.
- Composing policies, processes and reviewing SOPs, MOPs and EOPs of various data center activities.
Education
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Master's Degree (preferred) in Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- +5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and associated maintenance work.
- 3 years of experience working with HVAC and electrical equipment.
- Minimum of 3years Data Center Commissioning experience.
- Criticalfacilityexperienceandcriticalbuildingsystemsknowledgerequired.
- Experience in leading a datacenter facility operations team.
