Operations Head - Shipping

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Head to lead and optimize end-to-end shipping operations, including First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, team leadership, vendor coordination, and process excellence to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily operations across shipping centers, ensuring adherence to service levels, cost targets, and operational KPIs.
• Oversee First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile logistics, including RTO and reverse logistics.
• Manage large-scale sort center or warehouse operations with high shipment volumes.
• Plan and control resources, fleet, and manpower for optimized cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with 3PL vendors and internal stakeholders for smooth operations.
• Monitor delivery performance, analyze data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and enforce operational SOPs to ensure standardization and compliance.
• Drive automation and digital solutions to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
• Manage P&L for logistics operations and control cost per shipment.
• Build, mentor, and lead large teams across regions to achieve business goals.
• Handle client escalations and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or e-commerce operations.
• Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing regional/multi-location teams.
• Expertise in warehouse management, transportation, RTO, and reverse logistics.
• Proficiency in operational analytics and cost optimization.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
