Operations & Hospitality Manager

Part-Time → Full-Time Growth Role Homage | Belgrade, Montana

Homage is a boutique hospitality project rooted in land stewardship, sensory experience, thoughtful design, and meaningful gathering. Located in the Gallatin Valley, the property will include 14 guest cabins, a farm-to-table restaurant, event and gathering spaces, saunas and wellness facilities, yoga space, orchards, and production gardens. We are currently in development and preparing for our 2027 opening.

We are seeking an operations-minded hospitality professional to help build the systems, financial organization, and guest experience foundation of Homage from the ground up.

This role begins part-time at approximately 20 hours per week, with an immediate focus on bookkeeping, HR administration, systems implementation, and operational coordination. The position is expected to grow into a full-time leadership role in 2027, potentially sooner depending on operational needs.

This is an opportunity to join Homage prior to opening and help build the operational and cultural foundation of the property from the ground up. We are intentionally assembling a collaborative, thoughtful team to help bring the vision of Homage to life with care, clarity, and long-term stewardship.

Over time, this person will help oversee reservations, guest experience, housekeeping operations, staffing support, maintenance coordination, and daily property operations.

ResponsibilitiesImmediate Responsibilities

  • Manage bookkeeping, expense tracking, accounts payable, and payroll coordination
  • Maintain and organize QuickBooks Online systems
  • Support HR administration, onboarding, hiring coordination, and employee documentation
  • Assist with implementation of reservation and operational systems
  • Support operational organization across departments during the development phase
  • Work closely with the COO / General Manager and leadership team

Future Growth Responsibilities

  • Help oversee daily hotel operations
  • Respond to guest inquiries and reservation requests via phone and email
  • Assist guests with reservations and stay planning
  • Coordinate group bookings and logistics alongside the Sales & Events Curator
  • Oversee housekeeping operations and department coordination
  • Manage ordering and organization of guest amenities and operational supplies
  • Coordinate maintenance operations alongside the Maintenance Manager
  • Support staffing systems and team communication
  • Assist in shaping guest experience standards and operational culture
  • Work closely with the restaurant team, garden team, events team, and wellness operations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in bookkeeping, operations, hospitality, or administrative management
  • Hospitality experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online required
  • Experience with hospitality reservation systems or PMS platforms preferred
  • Experience with MEWS PMS is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working within a fast-moving, evolving environment
  • Calm, grounded, detail-oriented presence
  • Ability to balance systems thinking with warmth and hospitality
  • Willingness to grow alongside the company

Position Details

  • Part-time to start (~20 hours/week)
  • Expected transition to full-time in 2027, potentially sooner
  • Based in Belgrade, Montana
  • Compensation range: $65,000-$80,000 annually DOE upon full-time transition
