Job Description: Operations and Maintenance Incharge (Chemical Logistics)
Role Overview
The Operations and Maintenance In-Charge is responsible for the seamless execution of daily fleet movements and the technical upkeep of all vehicles. In the specialized field of chemical transportation, this role focuses on maximizing vehicle uptime, ensuring 100% compliance with safety standards, and managing the human element—our drivers—to achieve optimal Turnaround Time (TAT).
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet Operations & Movement
- Direct day-to-day dispatch and tracking of vehicles to ensure timely deliveries.
- Execute strategic instructions from the Operations Head to meet company KPIs.
- Goal: Drastically reduce Turnaround Time (TAT) through efficient scheduling and bottleneck identification.
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Health
- Oversee a rigorous Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule for the entire fleet (Tankers, trucks, etc.).
- Coordinate emergency repairs and breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all vehicles meet the specific requirements for chemical transport (e.g., pressure tests, valve checks, and specialized coatings).
- Maintain detailed logs of service history, fuel consumption, and part replacements.
3. Driver Management & Recruitment
- Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, handling on-road issues and grievances.
- Recruitment: Source and onboard qualified drivers with experience in hazardous goods (Hazmat) transportation.
4. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and present daily/weekly reports on fleet utilisation (Loading, unloading and idle vehicles), maintenance costs, and TAT performance.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation (Fitness, Permits, Insurance, Pollution Control) is updated and compliant with transport regulations.
Experience3–5 years in Fleet Operations/Maintenance (Chemical or Petroleum sector preferred).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
