We have an exciting opportunity for students to participate in an eight-week internship at the International Corporate Headquarters (ICHQ) of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.! This is a great opportunity for you to learn professional skills in business across various departments, build your resume, and get real-world experience in a professional setting.
As an intern in the Operations Department, you will be responsible for assisting with special projects and tasks across multiple areas in the organization. These responsibilities will be customized to the intern’s interest as well as to the needs of the organization. Interns will meet with relevant leaders within the organization to receive an orientation and description of the day-to-day engagements and responsibilities to be executed. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently, have interpersonal skills, and be a team player.
Key Responsibilities
Review pages in the Member Portal for accuracy and consistency, including:
- Verifying style standards (e.g., font sizes, colors).
- Testing all links to ensure functionality and accuracy.
- Reviewing documents for accuracy and the date of last revision.
- Submitting outdated documents for revision or renewal.
- Applying a “Reviewed” time stamp to updated documents.
- Uploading and replacing revised documents as needed.
Create and maintain a portal update tracker, including:
- Page or section location
- Date reviewed and date revision requested
- Person contacted and contact information
- Notes on update status or follow-up needed
Internship Exposure
- Real-world knowledge and experience of the business of the non-profit and sorority sector
- Working closely with leaders across the organization
- Attending department and/or team meetings
- Completing meaningful projects that impact the operational efficiency at ICHQ
Qualifications
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Intermediate HTML or JavaScript
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Detail Oriented
- Timely/Respects Deadlines
- Self-Motivated/Works well in autonomous environments

Dates & Logistics

- Hours are flexible (maximum of 15 per week)
- 30-minute lunch break daily

Student Participation Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in college
- Minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Must be a Soror with an understanding of Sorority Bylaws and Protocol
- Minimum 2 years of College in Communications, Writing, Journalism, or Legal Field
