JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations/Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of inventory management, ensuring accuracy from receipt through the fulfillment of orders. This position manages critical inventory functions such as receiving, put away, priority-based picking, and inventory control. The role requires clear leadership in directing staff, setting priorities, monitoring performance, and maintaining operational efficiency to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Directly supervise inventory team members, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.

Assign daily tasks and priorities, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are met.

Monitor team productivity, including picking speed and accuracy, and adjusting staffing levels or assignments as needed.

Conduct regular team meetings to review priorities, communicate updates, and reinforce operational standards.

Train, coach, and develop team members to improve skills, efficiency, and adherence to processes.

Conduct performance reviews and provide timely feedback, addressing issues promptly and constructively.

Hold team members accountable for meeting departmental KPIs, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Collaborate with other department leaders to ensure cross-functional efficiency and problem resolution.

Oversee all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, put away, picking, and distribution of goods.

Establish and communicate picking priorities daily based on order urgency, shipping deadlines, and production schedules.

Monitor and manage picking volumes to balance workloads and allocate resources efficiently.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using NetSuite (or comparable ERP).

Perform regular cycle counts and stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Collaborate with purchasing, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate stock levels for operations and customer demands.

Ensure inventory control measures are in place to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent errors.

Implement and enforce safety protocols and operational procedures to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Handle any inventory-related issues, including damaged goods or stockouts, and propose corrective actions.

Analyze inventory data and generate reports to track trends, productivity, and areas for improvement.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

5-7 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
