PCG is seeking an experienced Operations L&D Specialist to join our team out of Lenexa, KS.
Operations L&D Specialists are part of a team that is shaping and driving a learning culture at PCG. Their primary objective is to provide development and learning opportunities to all operations field leaders based on their experience in construction operations and, ideally, credible PCG knowledge. This role is responsible for leading the delivery of instructor-led, virtual, and one-on-one training for our operation’s teams. Other essential functions include:
  • Work closely with operations to identify training and development needs and solutions where needed
  • Effecting deliver training to ensure participants are engaged and are motivated to master and apply learning on the job
  • Assess business situations and develop goals and training/development strategies to improve business results and performance
  • Manage & maintain current list of all applicable hourly employees by branch and role; partnering with management to provide developmental opportunities for employees & ensure training progression
  • Partner with individuals and key leadership stakeholders to assist and advise on execution of company policies and procedures
  • Act as a liaison between corporate departments and branches to ensure consistency, validity, and efficiency of training materials. Responsible for working with both groups to meet the needs of training tools
  • Assist in preparing for and delivering in-person conferences at our corporate office in Lenexa
  • Coach and mentor employees regarding personal or career development
  • Providing insight into branch succession and leadership development conversations
  • Market available training to employees and providing necessary information about sessions

  • Position best suited for work at the corporate HQ here in Lenexa, KS
Basic Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in training or development is preferred
  • Experience working in a related craft line is a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Willing to travel 50%+
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal, analytical and decision-making skills
  • The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent time management, proofing and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to speak in front of an audience and facilitate training workshops and conferences with high energy and approachability
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively collaborate and consult with senior leaders, business partners, internal customers, and colleagues
  • Experience delivering training and/or events communications a plus
  • You are comfortable with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and using the Internet
