The Role

As an Operations Manager, you will collaborate with all cross functional teams to support meeting the vision of the Manufacturing group with proving insight and ideas on improvements (processes, standards, best practices, and tools) that boost the team’s effectiveness and efficiency. This position reports to the Vice President, Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Experience

• Responsible for managing assigned project budgets and timelines
• Manages associates-to include training, performance reviews, hiring, discipline, onboarding
• Responsible for management of internal stage gate process across team
• Leads project margin variance meetings to communicate to executive leadership
• Facilitates and leads when necessary Gemba discussions
• Responsible for meeting and communicating teams KPI’s
• Plans staffing resources for assigned managers
• Communicates staffing needs to leader and work with recruiting to source, interview and hire
• Reviews project status
• Develops budget and business plan for assigned facility
• Assists in development of quoted concept/hours plans
• Approves quotes per LOA
• Reports project status and budgets to leadership
• Assign location for projects within each facility
• Approves project plans per facility
• Maintains a safe work environment
• Customer interface
• Monitor operational workflow
• Special projects as assigned
• Responsible for leading improvement initiatives
• Generates Reports
• Facilitates team trainings
• Participate in performance reviews for assigned team
• Communicates required information to team members
• Responsible for time and attendance approval/management

Essential

• Reliable transportation and an ability to travel; although this position is focused on local clients and minimal travel is required, you should have the ability to travel within US and Canada
• Eight (8) years’ experience in machine build management
• High tech accuracy
• Computer literate; spreadsheets, word processing
• Highschool diploma/ GED with six (6) years technical training (BS/MA)
• High technical knowledge of manufacturing technology

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
• Occasionally lifts or move up to 25 pounds.
