Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Manager to manage all daily operations at our Driggs, Idaho wine storage facility. This is a top-tier position. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of Excel, Outlook, inventory control, and wine knowledge. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy of wine invoicing and deliveries, accuracy of incoming wine shipments, responding to customer inquiries and needs, and driving process improvements within our organization.
Duties
- Create invoices and delivery manifests for all customer wine orders (40%-60% of total time spent)
- Interpret wine orders received from customers via email to match with the correct wines, in an inventory of 800 different wines
- Research customer requests for desired wine types and price points, using Excel-based data manipulation and knowledge of wines in inventory
- Communicate with customers about possible substitutions for wines that are temporarily out of stock or discontinued
- Keep current Idaho ABC Price posting data up to date
- Prepare Wyoming monthly out of state wine shipper tax reports
- Prepare invoices to suppliers for commissions earned on Utah and Wyoming "special orders" fulfilled directly by suppliers
- Maintain data uploads to chain store customers' systems
- Perform and oversee counting and reconciliation of incoming wine shipments to purchase orders, and enter the incoming wines into inventory
- Weekly Bank Deposits and preparation of ACH upload files to electronic payment systems
- Track incoming wine with reports and inventory counts
- Assist with tracking additional inventory needed and preparation of purchase orders
- Oversee inventory control to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize loss
- Coordinate employee schedules for wine deliveries and handling of incoming wine shipments
- Train and mentor staff on best practices
- Perform and oversee periodic security updates to computer software
Requirements
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and interest in learning new functions and applications
- Understanding of database principles used in linkage of tables in Excel
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong knowledge of Wine and interest in learning more is a major plus
- Physical ability to lift 40-pound cases of wine
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
