GENERAL PURPOSE


Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Operation Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and Customer Service departments; quality, customer relations, housekeeping, security, safety, and maintaining an outstanding workforce.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating services in compliance with company goals and objectives.
  • Developing and motivating cost-effective alternatives and improvements to the production process.
  • Maintaining employee safety and morale by creating safe working and efficient working environments
  • Maximizing the efficiency of production lines and ensuring effective employment utilization
  • Monitoring facility purchasing process to include auditing, guideline compliance, and General Manager/Plant Manager approval
  • Managing facility-wide, cross-functional operations improvement projects
  • Through the direct reports, managing the equipment and machinery to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Ensure that, as the company grows, processing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality, and responsiveness
  • Execute a continuous improvement approach to ensure year-over-year productivity improvements are realized
  • Be responsible for setting goals and objectives for direct reports to ensure company objectives are met.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • BS/BA in Management or equivalent work experience; minimum 5 years operations/management experience - preferably laundry operations with large-scale plants in management or commercial field.
  • High-level leadership and decision-making skills
  • Able to motivate, influence, and train people
  • Able to interact with all levels of management.
  • Bilingual skills a plus (English/Spanish)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities as required to meet production needs.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
  • Ability to use knowledge of the working environment to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to be able to be insured under the company’s insurance policy.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
