Operations Manager – Environmental Operations

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead and supervise site operations within our Environmental Operations division. The role involves managing in-house teams and subcontractors, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high safety standards, and driving operational efficiency across plant site locations.


This position requires strong leadership, hands-on operational control, and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.


Key Responsibilities

Operations & Site Management

  • Plan and manage daily work schedules to meet operational and client requirements
  • Supervise all site operations, including workforce and subcontractors
  • Ensure production targets, timelines, and quality standards are achieved
  • Monitor daily site progress and report operational performance
  • Manage material handling and maintain minimal storage levels
  • Ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and well organized
  • Attend and contribute to operational and coordination meetings
  • Provide on-call support and resolve site issues and emergencies as required

Safety & Compliance

  • Lead daily toolbox talks and enforce HSE rules and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements
  • Maintain and update Safe Job Instructions (SJIs)
  • Audit operations and train teams on safe and efficient work practices
  • Promote a strong safety culture and accountability across teams

People Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, coach, and provide feedback to employees
  • Manage employee training and ensure correct equipment operation
  • Drive performance improvement and operational best practices
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze operational data and implement improvement action plans
  • Review processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and cost control
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business goals

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar operations or site management role
  • Strong operational planning and execution capability
  • Solid technical and procedural knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Physically fit and able to work extended hours when required
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong focus on health, safety, and operational excellence
