Job Summary
Coastal Outdoor Construction is seeking an experienced, high-level Operations Manager to lead our team and oversee the execution of our outdoor construction projects. The ideal candidate is a master of logistics, finance, and site leadership, capable of ensuring every project, from decks to paver work, is delivered with precision. The ideal candidate should should have knowledge and experience in the outdoor construction/carpentry industry.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
  • Scheduling: Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones; rigorously monitor progress against established timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Contract Management: Manage changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, engineers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Quality & Standards: Develop and implement robust quality control programs to maintain the high craftsmanship standards of Coastal Outdoor Construction.
  • Business Representation: Represent the company on critical business matters, including professional services and payment collection.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and issue progress schedules to clients to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
  • Procurement: Direct the purchase of building materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery to job sites.
  • Personnel Management: Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff, maintaining a high-performing and safe work environment.
  • Financial Oversight: Actively manage payroll and company cash flow to ensure fiscal health and operational stability.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior construction management or operations role.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing cash flow and payroll.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to interface professionally with architects, engineers, and high-end clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a "results-oriented" mindset.
  • Ability to travel to various job site to meet with customers, check status of builds and final walk through of builds.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Outdoor Construction/Carpentry: 3 years (Required)
