Our client is a global construction company that has been operating in the Middle East for over 50 years. During this time they have delivered some of the largest projects in the world across multiple sectors, including Hospitality & Tourism, Oil & Gas, and Real Estate. They are currently looking for an Operations Manager to join them on a project in the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations to ensure all construction activities run smoothly, safely, and efficiently in line with project goals.
- Coordinate between various departments including construction, procurement, logistics, and quality to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement operational plans, processes, and policies that support project delivery and enhance productivity.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget.
- Lead and motivate site teams, fostering a positive culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Manage communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all operational activities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational status, challenges, and achievements to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in construction project operations, preferably on large scale projects, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or site management role.
- Proven experience overseeing daily site operations, coordinating multiple disciplines, and ensuring smooth project delivery in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, health & safety regulations, and quality management standards.
- Hands on experience with operational planning, resource management, and problem solving on site.
- Familiarity with project management and site reporting tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and foster a safe, collaborative work environment.
